The Shullsburg FFA and FFA Alumni will be hosting its 30th Annual Auction on March 9, 2019.  The auction will be held at the Wheel In in Shullsburg with the doors opening at 6:00 and the auction starting at 7:00.  The Alumni will have food available that evening for those that attend the event.  The Alumni would also like to extend a Thank You to the Wheel In for graciously donating the use of their banquet room for that evening and also Thank You to Larry Teasdale and Randy Gill for donating their time as the auctioneers.

The Shullsburg FFA Alumni has been supporting the Shullsburg agriculture program and the Shullsburg FFA since the alumni’s formation in 1978 with the auction being the Shullsburg FFA Alumni’s biggest fundraiser.  The proceeds from the auction have supported students involved in the following activities: trip sponsorships (Washington Leadership, National Convention, State Convention, and many others), contest expenses (such as state and national soils, career development events, speaking contests), classroom donations, student scholarships, county and state fair support, chapter dues, and other miscellaneous support.

The FFA Alumni is very proud of the storied history of the Shullsburg FFA chapter, along with the success being achieved by the current FFA members.  Over the past several years, the Shullsburg FFA members have been strong representatives of the Shullsburg Chapter and the State of Wisconsin at the National level.   The future is bright for the Shullsburg School’s Ag and FFA program and with a successful fundraising effort through this year’s auction, the FFA Alumni will be able to adequately support the Chapter and Ag program when a need exists in the future.

The success of the Ag and FFA programs, the FFA Alumni, and the auction is a direct result of the support received from the local businesses, community members, the teachers, staff, and the school board of the Shullsburg Schools, the parents of the FFA and Ag students, and the dedicated students involved in the Ag and FFA programs at the Shullsburg Schools.  For this year’s auction, the FFA Alumni and FFA members have been collecting donations and a list of donations and the donors can be found at the following: the Shullsburg FFA Alumni’s facebook page and www.teasdale-gill.com.
